Brew #4: Nearly there…
Ok, I’ve brought back all the relevant equipment from my parent’s house. I now just need to get some ingredients ordered (from here probably) and I’ll be set (finally!)
I just need to check through the list of ingredients (for multiple recipes… watch this space!) and also the few bits of equipment I need (syphon, new fermenter, etc.). I’ll order it all this evening. Promise.
I have also just bought (ordered Saturday, received Tuesday, amazing!) a new digital thermometer from Thermometers Direct. It is this model here. Nice, huh?
For this brew I’ve also decided I’m going to take a few pictures as I go, to document the process. I’ll then post them here for all to see.

Brew #4: Quick Update
This is just to say that I am visiting my parents this weekend so I should be able to bring all my brewing gear back with me! Woohoo!

Brew #4: Temporary Delay…
Ok so I haven’t ordered the ingredients yet. This is all due to the fact that I have recently moved into an apartment and have yet to get my brewing equipment from my parents’ house. Surely they’re the first thing I would have moved? Well, apparently not. Anyway when I next visit them, and don’t get the train there and back, I’ll pick up all the stuff. The equipment is basically my 3 gallon brew pot and my bottle capper (plus a few odds and ends). As I have mentioned previously, I need to buy a new syphon after the last one was severely disfigured by syphoning a too-hot wort from brew-pot to fermentor.
The next brew is still going to be as described, and I hope to get it underway in the next 2 weeks or so. Check back soon for updates…
