One bad brew…

It’s been a while since the last post. Here is a quick update. I cooked up a standard bitter type beer using light dry malt extract and goldings hops. I added the yeast and waited, and waited, and waited! There was no activity after about 4 days, so I added another packet of yeast. This had no effect whatsoever. I was forced to dump the batch after about 2 weeks. Boo Hoo! :-(

Then with Christmas etc. I haven’t had a chance to cook up another batch yet. Watch this space…

Cheers, and Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear your last batch tanked! I am waiting and hoping that when I open my brew bucket tonight the yeast will be happily fermenting. We shall see…

Yeah, it was disappointing, but i’ve learnt a new lesson from the experience: Don’t use cheap no-name yeast!

I’m planning to get another brew going at the weekend, so keep checking back to find out how it goes.

Let me know how your brew goes!

Thanks for your comment, and stay tuned.

Cheers!

Graham
